Susan R. Lenoir

Susan R. Lenoir, 76, of Topeka, died January 21, 2020 as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas the daughter of Robert E. and Nelia C. (Quigley) Rives Sr.

She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Friends University.  Susan was a retired Corrections Officer.  She was the first female officer in the Hutchinson Correctional Facility. 

Susan had a very strong faith and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.  She enjoyed flower gardening and taking care of her yard.  She especially loved her dogs.

She is survived by two daughters, Katie Lenoir of Topeka and Tiffany Lenoir of Wichita and a brother, Robert E. Rives Jr. of Los Angeles, California. 

Susan will be cremated.  A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Sisters of Charity or to the Helping Hands Humane Society and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Ave., Topeka, Kansas  66603.
