Teresa Sue Tinoco

Teresa Schroeder Tinoco, 70, of Topeka, passed away on December 27, 2024, at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born on April 29, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas, to Ben E. Schroeder and Cecelia Elizabeth Boss Schroeder. 

Teresa attended Assumption Grade School and graduated from Hayden High School in 1972.

She married Robert Tinoco, in October of 1975, and as a couple, they traveled and worked throughout the West Coast until their hearts decided it was time to return to Topeka, as there is no place like home. 

Teresa worked at a call center in Eastern, Kansas for the Veterans Administration VHA/ Member Services as a contact representative, before her retirement. 

She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and enjoyed shopping and visiting Gage Park to watch the animals scamper around or float on the water. Her favorite times were visiting the art galleries and stores and visiting Noto, her favorite place. 

Teresa was from a family of seven and was preceded in death by five siblings: Lois, Bill, Pat, Shirley, and Barbara. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert Tinoco, of 49 years, her sister Carol, and many nieces and nephews. 

Cremation has taken place and services are pending and more information will be posted when available.
