Theresa L. Crowley, age 86, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Theresa was born the daughter of Robert E. and Helen A. (Kolongowski) Smith on August 30, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a longtime cosmetologist and electrologist. She retired in 1986 from the State of Kansas as a Computer Operator for the ABC and SRS Child Enforcement. Theresa was a longtime member of Mater Dei – Assumption Catholic Church. She was active in the Women of the Moose Lodge #555 and was a member of the former St. Cecelia Choir at the church. Survivors include her son, Bryan Kruz and his wife Janet; daughter, Deborah Ann Weaver and her husband Greg; three sisters, Patricia Shortridge, Margaret Bentley & Dorothy Jiminez; one brother, Patrick Smith; 12 grandchildren, Troy, Greg, Mike, Thomas & Crystal Weaver, Anna Swanson, Heather, Holly, Heidi & Robbie Crowley, Ana & Alex Kruz; 19 great-grandchildren and a loving extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Norman Crowley and Robert “Bob” E. Crowley; brother, Robert J. Smith; sister, Helen Morris. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 9:30-10:30 A.M., with a Rosary being prayed at 10:30 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M., all at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603. Burial will take place at 1:00 P.M., at the Keene Cemetery in rural Wabaunsee County. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
