Thomas Caballero

Thomas F. Caballero, 88, of Topeka, KS died Friday, January 1, 2021 at his home.

He was born September 25, 1932 in New York, NY.

Thomas served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a Mail Handler retiring from the US Postal Service Supply Center. 

Thomas was a member of the Community Church and in his spare time he enjoyed boating, fishing and just being in the great outdoors.

Thomas married Guadalupe “Terry” Munoz on July 3, 1957 in Topeka.  She survives.  Other survivors include four children, Sonja “Sam” Adams and her husband John of Murfreesboro, TN, Sandee Martinez of Kansas City, KS, Lynn Munoz-Wilkins and her husband Bryce of Topeka and Don Martinez and his wife Sue of Denver, CO.  Twelve grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren also survive.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Rick Martinez.

Thomas will lie in state at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home on Thursday, January 7, 2021 after 2:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions be made in Thomas’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association send in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6^th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
