Yvonna Bell Bacon

Yvonna Bell Bacon, age 84, of Topeka, KS, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.

She was born the daughter of Kermit and Lucy (Manes) Anderson on January 18, 1938, in Waynesville, MO.

Yvonna worked as a Legal Secretary for the United States Coast Guard. She retired in October of 2008, after 36 years of service. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family and friends, and most of all, her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two daughters, Dawn Rangel, Vanessa (Jon) Boisvert; grandchildren, Xavier (Shamra Bell) Rangel, Zane (Sarah) Rangel, Taylor Boisvert, Chris (Talea Hill) Boisvert; and great-grandchildren, Chloee Rangel, Bexleigh Rangel, Alexander Rangel, Miranda Isaac, Lyndee Rangel, Jovee Rangel, Lylah Rangel, Luca Hamilton, Easton Boisvert, Camden Boisvert, Kion Boisvert, and Colson Boisvert. She is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Wade, Nadean Maiden; and a brother, Dwayne Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William “Bill” Bacon; brother, Terry Anderson; sister, Sherron Jenkins; and a grandson, Kiernan Rangel.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10-11:00 A.M., on Friday, January 28, 2022, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M., all at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Burial of cremains will follow at Auburn Cemetery.
