Shirley A. Phillips

Shirley A. Phillips, 79, of Topeka, passed away on June 30, 2020 at the House at Midland Care.

She was born in Topeka, Kansas on January 5, 1941 the daughter of Ben and Cecilia (Boss) Schroeder.

Shirley was a graduate of Hayden High School and Clarks Business School.  She worked for Santa Fe Railway, Security Benefit Life and retired from Rochester Grade School where she worked in the Cafeteria.

She was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church.

Shirley married Chester Kemper Phillips in Topeka, Kansas on December 16, 1958.  He survives.  She is also survived by her children Kim (Ron) Raines and Keith (Wendy) Phillips, 8 grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and her sisters, Betty Schardin, Carol Hodges and Teresa Tinoco.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, Barbara Bolyard, Mary Patricia Foley and Bill Schroeder. 

Cremation has taken place.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2^nd, at Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. with a Parish Rosary being prayed at 10:30 a.m.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Burial of her urn will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
